Error in JCo Connection

Hi to all,

I get this error from EP5.0 with tomcat 3.3: JCo connections basis example:

JCO.Exception (JCO_ERROR_PROGRAM; JCo Error #:101): No entry for 'Sopra-IDES' found in 'C:\WINDOWS\sapmsg.ini'

    Wow. first time I see this.

    Did you install SAP Gui on your PC?

    If yes you should have this file. There is a list of message servers for 3 digit SAP System ID (SID)

    e.g. AX8 is myserver.mycompany.com.

    under c:/Windows/system32/drivers/etc/services is also list with ports for message server

    So you best is you define your system in EP not via SID but via message server directly. Its safer.

    Use help.sap.com and try a little. Its not so easy to understand all parameters directly.

      Hi Rem, to all.

      I am following up the note and i haven´t could fix the trouble.

      I have found a note 549268 and it says that JCo is compatible with windows NT or Windows 2000 and i am working with windows XP, It could be for this?.
