Stack Bar Chart Odd Color

Former Member

Hello,

I have stack bar chart and I have the different stacked items colored based on data values. Over 90% of time my specified colors are displayed correctly but on the first 3 data points or so. A random color replaces the specified one at one data point only and the rest of the chart fine. I first noticed this problem using CR XI R2 and I hoped my upgrade to SAP CR 2011 would find it fixed. It is not fixed.

Is anyone else familiar with this issue? Or does anyone know how to make it work correctly all the time?

Thanks!

Hi,

Have you conditionally colored all the stacked bars?

I would guess that one or more bar's do not meet your conditional color formula.

That is not the case. I have checked it several times for that condition. The same value for Day 1,3,4 and so on are the correct color but Day 2 is some odd color.

If your test is based on a calculated value, perhaps there is a trailing decimal that is throwing it off. Even though you see 2, the real value may be 1.99 and that is what the formula sees.

If that is not the case, re-ordering the tests in the conditional formula may also make a difference, as can a missing ELSE. Post it and we can take a look at it.

Thanks, but it is a text field. I set the value in the query group the results based on that field. As I place my cursor over the column sections CR shows the value. I have the same problem in several stacked charts. I think I will submit product error report.
