Java I/O Error while saving report from R/3 as Spreadsheet

Dear All,

We have integrated SAP R/3 with portal.

In Portal, I created an SAP Transaction iView for the Tcode LSO_RHXBUCH0. After Running the report, We tried to save the report by in spreadsheet format (excel). While clicking the "export" button in the transaction view, It throws I/O Error and we could not save the report generated from R/3.

Please help us to solve this issue.

Hi,

Try to create a transaction iView with the option SAP GUI Type = "SAP GUI for Windows" instead of "SAP GUI for HTML" because the function to export excel isn't supported on "SAP GUI for HTML".

Dear Saito,

We are providing access to the production server through reverse proxy server, and so if I user SAP GUI as SAP GUI for Windows, It is unable to recognize the host name. We cannot provide the host ip directly since it is our production box.

For using SAP GUI for Windows, SAP logon GUI CLient must be installed locally on the client machine.i hope you have it in your testing machine.
