Hi all, I have a small problem in here:
If I create a role and add some worksets to it, how can I set for a user (or group) to have access to only some of that worksets (part of them not accesible) if they are assigned to that role?
I tried to edit permissions for that workset, and there delete the group everyone but it's not working at all. Perhaps more things have to be done.
Can anyone help me?
Regards,
Raluca.
Hi Raluca,
generally spoken, if you add assign a user (or a group a user belongs to) to a role, the content should be for these people. That's what you define by this assignment.
For your needs the concept of merging (roles etc) is there, so that the users (groups) who should see "all" are assigned to the role "SomeOfTheWorksets" and to the role "TheRestOfTheWorksetsForPriviledgesUsers". The users who should only see some of the content are only assigned to the first role.

Hope it helps

Hi Detlev, thanks for your answer as usual 😊
I thought about that solution of merging IDs of roles too from what I've read (it's true I didnt practice it yet), but to me it seems quite complicated, wouldn't that lead to a big number of roles?
For example if a role with 5 worksets gives me a detailed navigation with 5 links for the superadmin, and from the navigation panel I want for the user A only 3 links to be accessible and for the user B only 4 links, that would mean creating 3 roles and 2 merge IDs?
I was reading some documentation about portal permissions and ACL and thought maybe that could be the easier way.

Raluca
