Multiple Company Code -Profile assignment & Segment & Specialist assignment

Hi Experts,

I am looking for some suggestions, I have 4 company codes and all four company codes are involved in collections management. My questions is how do i go about assigning collection profile in UDM_BP_PROF, I dont have the option restricting by company codes for BP. If i have the same number range for customers across all four company codes, it would be really cumbersome for picking BP and assigning profile. I found a badi for that and i didnt find to restrict by company code.

Second question same with assigning collection segment and specialist, i dont see option by restricting by company code.

Is there a way I can restrict by company code BP's for assigning collection profile, collections segment and collection specialist. There are lots of BP's in different number ranges in 4 different company codes, if there is a way it would be easy for assignment.

Thanks in advance

Jen.

Hi,

I have the exact requirement. Were you able to resolve the restrictions of the company code?

If yes, please write down the steps you took while doing it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jen,

It all depends on what you want to achieve?

Do you customers go across Company Codes?

Do you have different collection teams per Company Code?

How many customers do you have?

UDM_BP_PROF is normally used to assign BP's to Collection profiles. This is normally managed offline in excel where lists of customers are loaded and then assigned the correct profile.

Hi Jen,

Well the segments are the link to the company codes. It all depends on that set up. As Mark suggested these are fundamental structure questions. If you have different strategies/ collectors for different companies for the same customers (and therefor customer / BP numbers) the they need to be in deferent segments in order to assign different collections groups which then can link into their own (different or not) strategy.

Hi Jen

We have a similar situation. Collections mgmt is used for 12 different company codes in Europe. We have around 15000 odd customers. Many customers have transactions across these company codes (e.g. one customers has transactions with 8 different company codes)

We have designed the system with a generic collection profile EMEA_00. This profile has 12 segments mapped to each of the 12 company codes. Each segment is mapped to a different collection group representing the different collection teams.

This setup is working well for us for last two years.
