Activation failed because of invalid charector

Hello Experts,

While activating the DSO, activation is failed because of invalid charector.

Invalid charector are maintain in RSKC transaction but while activating the DSO activation is failing.

Is there any setting where I can maintain the invalid charector.

Hi

You say that the values are maintained in RSKC.

Check the invalid character which is causing activation to fail. Now check if the same is maintained in RSKC or not.

As known to everyone, bes practice is to correct data at source. In the meanwhile for data to be available, edit the data in PSA and load to ur target.

Hi,

Best practice is the correct the invalid character in source system, or else you can make the flow through PSA (if your in 3.x) and edit PSA,correct error then load to target is the option to make the load happen in a faster way and later you can inform users to correct in the original document.

Hi Chetan,

Try maintaining ALL_CAPITAL_PLUS_HEX in RSKC.

The best way is to rectify in Source itself and re-load again.

You can also edit in PSA.

Hi,

There are many ways to fix this,

-Best practice is to fix the invalid character in the source system itself.

-If it is not possible or time consuming, you can Correct by editing the same in PSA.

-Else you can put afilter or write a routine to restict/convert the value in transformation.

HI,

The Special Character is whether tab space or any Invalid character.Kindly check with your source Team if they are ready to do the changes in Source Itself .If ther are not doing then two cases are there

1) If your load is Full load then daily you will get the same error in Activation even if u r doing changes in PSA.

2) If its delta then It will not come again If u do changes in PSA.

The Permanent Fix for this problem is to write a Start or End routine in your Transformation for that Field in DEV and Transport it to PRD.
