Hi,
I am trying to create a button to access MMBE in MD04. I want to acess MMBE without the initial screen as I do with transaction ME03 (sourcelist).
The configuration for linking MMBE to MD04 is shown in the following picture and is almost the same as linking ME03 to MD04

But when I click the "Stock overview" button in MD04, I get the error "The material does not exist or is not activated".
I even tried using "with initial screen" and Parameter Id "Mat" but it did not work.
Please help!!!
Sincerely,
Nicky.
Does the error message you have show a material number ?
The original message M3 305 has a variable that shows the material number:
The material & does not exist or is not activated
if your message does not show the material number then it is obvious that you get an error, as the material number was not "transferred" from MD04 to MMBE
But there is more that gets transferred, based on the line where the cursor is, it could be the storage location and the batch number.
Make at least sure that you have no user parameter set for storage location and batch number..
SAP may use this info to validate the existence.
For 46c system there are 2 older OSS Notes (391001 and 410267) with program fixes for the parameter vales.

does the stock overview button left of the first line in MD04 not work for you?

Hi Jurgen,
We are running SAP R/3 4.7c. I do not see a "stock overview " button in MD04. My MD04 screen looks as in the following picture.

If you click the magnifying glass, then you get a stock statistic, and on this pop-up is the button to navigate to MMBE
Please try if you get the same message as with your own button.
In my opinion the setup of your own button is correct and it should work. I can only assume that your cursor was positioned on the wrong place. Try it with cursor in stock line or with cursor in material number field.
Hi Jurgen,
Thanks for your reply. I tried the other approach you have mentioned but I am still get the error "The material does not exist or is not activated".
I have tested this with multiple materials. If I run MMBE by itself then I can see the stock overview of all of these materials.
Sincerely,
Nicky.
