Portal Application DC - can't add java classes to public part

Hi,

hope this is not a stupid question, but I'm really lost...

Working on NW 7.3 SP1

Created a track, SC, etc...

Then I've created a Portal Application DC (standalone - let's call it DC_SERVICES) to create some basic portal services (like custom global configuration, ...) and some public java types used in a couple of Portal Application DC's. Created portal service, implemented classes, ...

Now I wanted to create another Portal Application DC (let's say DC_ABSTRACT_PORTAL_COMPONENT1) with DC dependency on these public java classes and services (to use these classes).

So decided to create a public part in DC_SERVICES (api), but I cannot add any classes (manage entities) of this DC (when I click "manage entities" the dialog box is empty).

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for help,

Romano

Hi,

right-clicking on the class, selecting Development Component - but the "Publish" is greyed out - so can't.

But in an EJB DC I can publish...what can be wrong?

Hi Romano,

I am facing the same problem. I need to make a portal service accessible from other Portal Application Projects but I cannot add any content to a public part.

Did you find a solution?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot,

Jens
