SQL DB02 file space error

Former Member

Dear All,

We have installed our ECC6.0 system with SQL server 2008 on windows

server 2008 R2. We have alloted enough disk space on server but in DB02

we can find data file at times shows error "No free space in file"

eventhough there are no activities done on the server. This error

message doesnt stay for long as message gets shifted from each datafile

status message. Please advice

Best Regards,

If autogrow is switched off for datafiles they are "full" and you have to manually increase the size.

Check also

Note 1263390 - RZ20 SQL Server message "No free space in file"

Dear Markus,

Thanks for your advice. We have activated autogrow

In fact in data files status message it even shows "Autogrow on with enough space to grow"
