Hi Gilles,

Currently the timeline does not support multiday evens. This feature was requested by several users via the StreamWork Feedback functionality:[ http://feedback.streamwork.com/forums/11095-sap-streamwork/suggestions/409174-timeline-should-support-multi-day-events?ref=title|http://feedback.streamwork.com/forums/11095-sap-streamwork/suggestions/409174-timeline-should-support-multi-day-events?ref=title]. To increase the priority of that request you should also vote for it.

Regards,

Rüdiger

This must be a joke

After attending the DKOM presentation, and after the advertisement done in portal, i tried to use Streamwork and could not find anything usefull that could not be done with Wiki.

So far a multi day timeline would have been the sole usecase for both private and business use.

In the provided link, i could see that colleagues have been waiting for this feature since over a year!!!

That is what i call agile.

I agree that some use cases can also be implemented using a Wiki. But there are use cases, where this will be difficult:

- In your role as SAP employee: have you tried to collaborate with external people (people who cannot access the SAP network) using a Wiki?

- An e-mail conversion is getting bigger and bigger and somewhat out of control. You can create a StreamWork activity easily which keeps everybody in the loop

- If you want to collaborate with various groups of people this can easily be done in StreamWork

- Actively asking your personal network for support on a specific topic

- ...

Regarding your comment on agile: agile does not mean that requirements get implemented faster. It only means that you frequently look at your backlog, re-prioritize and try to do as much as you can with the resources that are available.

OK that means that the priority of this feature request is not yet sufficient and that the streamwork colleagues have not yet rescheduled their backlog. I wonder that they prefer to use those uggly timeline excel. I would have hopped that they provided some help.

For myself, without outside interaction, i do not yet see any use in this tool. Your personal situation might be different.
