Hi

To check the physical stk in a plant for a particular date, the tcode to be used is MB5B. In this which option should be used 1) Storage location/ Batch stock or 2) Valuated stk. The material which i am checking is valuated, without batch & without split option. Ideally which option should be used to check the stk.

Regards,

Kausthub

That depends on what you want to see.

If you use "Storage location/batch stock" option, system will show you the opening/closing stock per Storage location along with receipt and issues per posting date.(data from MARDH /MARD tables).here you will not get VALUE.

If you select "Valuated stock " option, it will show you Opening /closing and receipt /issues at Plant (valuation area) level along with VALUE details i.e. MBEW /MBEWH level stocks . here you will not get storage location specific sdata.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Actually i am checking only for a single material. The stk is showing different for both the options.

The diference could be due to stock in transit , stock provided to vendor and other such stocks , these are considered in "Valuated stock" but not in storage location stock

Hi,

You can check the report using the T.Code S_P00_07000139 - Stock Card and Inventory Material Report for better reporting perspective. This report will list the stock value per movement by unit to unit and closing stock aswell.

Hope it meets your requirement

For Physical stock as on particular date you should consider "Storage location/Batch Stock" wherein you will get Quantity issued & Qunatity received in those SLOC along with Opening stock & Closing stock for the specified period.

Hi,

You can check it in MMBE also. But if date better to use MB5B.

But for checking the stock ,you can use the fields for which data is available with you / as per your requirement.

Thanx

Hi,

If you want to have quantitative details of the materials then run MB5B Report with option "Storage Location/Batch Stock", here you can have stock report for specific or multiple storage locs.

If you want to see the stock of materials with value then select option "Valuated Stock", this will not accept storage location restriction, report will be run at plant level with this option.

Hi

I understand that you can know the stocks in the past. See Note 512416 - LIS | Stocks in the past, to know the way, how it works and possible troubles.

I hope this helps you
