Do enterpriseservices ending with *QueryResponse_In depend on portal search

Hi All,

I am trying to retreive the data that I would want from CRM mostly using default enterprise services.

Mostly I am using the web services which end with *QueryResponse_In

Eg:L BusinessPartnerCRMElementsByElementsQueryResponse_In

After doing some investigation, I am just wondering that if by any chance the web service calls that I am using have some dependency on SAP TREX search.

Is this is something federating results from TREX search?

Can someone clear my confusion?
