Basic Configuration - SOluton Manager - Error downloading note.

Hi -

I've installed SM 7.0 EHP1 on a linux box with MaxDB. I am now trying to configure SM through the front end gui using txn SOLMAN_SETUP and am at the basic configuration screen. Stuck on step 2 which is to import the Central correction Note 1468591. I keep getting an error saying:

Error in remote connection to destination SAPOSS: Error when opening an RFC connection

I have saprouter setup on my linux box and have tested it and seems to be working fine. I am sure I do not have parameters setup correctly for the SAPOSS RFC connection, but I am not sure what they should be (especially the connection string).

Please help.

Check transaction OSS1 (menu) Parameter - Technical Settings

and check whether you have the proper sapservX configured. Then test the connection "SAPOSS" in SM59.

How do i know what the sapservX should be?

You need to tell SAP which connection and sapservX you use, check http://service.sap.com/saprouter
