Partial settlement problem

Hi All,

I am facing problem with partial settlement, we are using the partial settlement process line item wise using KOB5.

Mow there 5 line item which was posted in same period Now we want to settle only 3 Line item.

We set the Settlement rule and we run the settlement process now it settle all the amount those posted this period what we do it is production system problem.

Please help me.

Hi Juhi,

If you had created final asset from IO then system will settle everything, irrespective of what is mentioned in KOB5.

No, We are not create the final asset from IO we are settle the partial settlement process thur by KOB5.

actually we have one internal order and in the internal order 5 line item posting in one month, now we want to settle only 2 line item but when we set the settlement rule in 2 line item than after we run the settlement process ko88 for that month, all the line item will be settled it is production issue.

what we do please suggest me.

Are you just simulating the KO88 or has the damage been already done?

If the settlement has already been done, you will have to first reverse it.

Once you reverse it you need to detach the settlement rule from the concerned line items in KOB5.

Then run the settlement KO88 again.

Hi

there are several t-codes to perform settlement or will control the settlement process:

KOB5 just for line item settlement orders, so you can assing to each posting a different distribution rule.

If you don´t have a line item settlement, you put in KO02 a distribution rule, which will be applied to all postings.

KO8G is settlement for many orders

KO88 is settlement for just 1 posting.

My suggestion is to check in KO02 to see whether you have maintain a rule for summary settlement. If so, delete the rule.

If we delete the rule for that internal order what is impact because it is production issue,

My issue is --

I have one internal order and in the internal order we have posting line item 5 all the posting in one period and we want to settled only 2 line item in the CWIP Asset.

When we delete the rule from internal order and than after we run the settlement process after the process run we have to set the rule in KO02 ?

But it is Production issue client not ready for that.

2. KOB5 screenshot of the internal order in question.

This will enable me to help you futher.

To your question on any problem if the rule is deleted. there should not be any problem. Settlement rule changes are pretty standard process which people do. One may have to change a rule or delete it. It poses no threat as such as far as I know.

Also I would suggest you to simulate the scenario in your QA system. That would give you a lot of insight.

Actually my problem is not a configuration because this process is already done and it is now in production system, Problem is Internal order in 2010 we are going to settled and settlement parameter is period 12 -2010 Now in that period in that internal order we have 5 posting same date same period, we want to settle only 2 line item that's why we set the settlement rule for only 2 line item useing KOB5 and run the settlement process but the system take the all line item to be settled.

Please help me because it is Production system Problem.

Hi Juhi,

1. In KOB5, after maintaining settlement rule there will be one column for 'Final Settlement DRG' check entry in this column.

(Like 1, 2 or 3...)

2. In KO88, there is button for 'Settlement Rule' click on that.You should find all these entries here in column Distribution Rule Grp.

(All above steps ensures that settlement rule maintenance is correct)

3. Now In KO88, if you find any other rule with any other settlement type than AUC and without distribution rule grp. then make sure you remove that from that order.(Since, you do not want to settle that in that manner)

Hi Juhi,

In KOB5, select the line items for which you want to remove the settlement rule. Then click on 'Detach Final Settlement Rule'. You will find this button to the 2nd right from the 'Final Settlement' button on the Application tool bar of KOB5.

Actually i want to settled 2 line item i set the all setting as per reference all replay but still when i run the settlement process KO88 all the line item was settled what we do please help me it is Production system problem.

Hi Juhi,

Generally: how to remove the line items from KOB5.

In KOB5, please go the Menu -> Edit-> Settlement Rule. If the lights turn "green" - as soon as the line items are settled in should disappear from KOB5 display.
