Dear Experts,

When I copy a process order using an existing process order, components quantity are not getting calcualated properly. Original process order was created using alternate UOM (Base UOM).During copy in COR1 transaction, in the new process order I have changed UOM (production UOM) and entered shedule start date. When I check the materials list, compoents are calculated for base UOM, not the prodction UOM.

Any ideas? Please help.

Nagarajan

Hi Nagarajan,

As you have copied the order, the components will have base UOM as it was in the original order.

If you want to change UOMs for component and also update the quantity.

What you can do is go into the master data tab of the order and do Re-read master data. It should change UOM of the component provided you have maintained alternative UOM for component as well.

Please let me know if this solution works for you.

Thanks for your reply.

I am changing the UOM for the finished good, not the component. When I change the header material UOM, I would expect the system to calculate the BOM component qty correctly.

Hi Nagarajan,

once you change UOM for finished product, you have to re-read the master data.

Untill and unless you re-read master data (re-explode BOM) in that order, it will not calculate BOM component qty correctly.

Please let me know the results of re-read master data.
