Transport mechanism for MDM catalog 3.0

Hi,

We are having MDM Catalog 3.0 with SRM. Now we are looking forward to enable the transport mechanism with CTS+/Solution Manager. Can someone let me know if this is possible to accomplish.

I did referred the below SDN document, but it is talking about the SAP MDM 7.1 and netweaver 7.0 ehp1. I understand MDM catalog 3.0 is not having netweaver component. Can someone suggest on this.

MDM itself doesn't have a "change management" and hence there's nothing to be transported. What you can put into CTS+ is the Java interface for searching products, this is installed on an AS-Java.

Changes in MDM are not "transportable", you can export and import them using the MDM console though.

In the Pre Go live Checks SAP has suggested to have the transport mechanism for MDM. We are not sure if this is possible to enable the CTS+ in MDM Catalog 3.0

I would say that the EWA person used a text module assuming your're using MDM 7.1.

MDM Catalog 3.0 is factually MDM 5.5, maybe this document helps:

This certainly is very helpful document. Now I understood, we can not have transport mechanism through CTS+ for MDM catalog3.0.
