Can you elaborate & provide complete details as to where you want to do this, what is the process in which you want this etc.

Yeah, thanks for your response.
My client is produce tube. As you know if you want to produce tube, you have to use molds to produce it. You can produce 2 or 5 tubes at the same time depend on molds. BOM of each product is depend on molds because base quantity is different.
In SAP, I suppose that each molds is a PRT. When create production order, you have to choose PRT and BOM will be copy to production order depend on which mold.
I think that I can use production version to manage all. So I have an idea is choose production version by PRT manually while create production order.
That is my scenario, please consider it and suggest any solution for this
Thanks
Hi,
Please try the following thing in your sand box
1. Create Mold as Mateirial (stock but non-valuated)
2. Create Alternative BOMs for tubes (with different material)
3. Suppose in one mold if you are manufacturing 2 different tube types (different material number) then you can use co-products scenario.
4. Create Routing for the material
5.Create Production version for the material (with the Mold cavity as description)
In Order type dependent parameters, make production version manual during order creation.
when you create a production order, system will prompt your to assign the production version and you can select the molds are carry on the production.
Normally Molds can be used as material than PRT, because availability check for Material is more consistent than to check availability . You can issue the material (mold ) to the order and reissue to the stock after production, this will help you to know the exact location of the mold.
Thanks,
JK
