upgrade from 7.6.00 to 7.6.06.010

Which is the best way to upgrade MaxDb from 7.6.00 to 7.6.06.10?

Do I have to make a backup, uninstall the old version, install the new version and restore the backup?

Is there any way to backup only the database parameters?
