XI 3.0 Sr1 unix oracle J2EE not starting

I have installed XI 30 SR1 up and running. J2EE engine was running as I was able to log into WAS and SLD and RWB. Then after change ABAP instance profiles the j2ee does not start up. There are no jlaunch processes. WAS ABAP and oracle is running and I can log into ABAP CI, but the j2ee engine does not start....the J2EE executables are present in the runU directory....

I tried stopping and starting SAP (startsap) which should start the engine but no luck....

anyone have any idea how to get it up and running, jcmon does start it at all....

Thanks

John

Hi,

are the J2EE parameters still in the instance profile? The J2EE installation only writes them in the OS-file, not in the DB. If you have not reimported the profiles and then change the profile in SAP and activate it, it will overwrite the ABAP+J2EE version on OS with an ABAP-only version from the DB. Luckily, there should be a backup version made on the OS-level.

Hi,

Have you tried 'startsap SCS01'?
