Hi,
I have one WebAS j2ee (6.40 sp11) system where my WebDynpro application connecting to RFC runs without any problem. But when I run it in my production WebAS (6.40 sp9), it runs into all kinds of problem. When I test the JCo connection, it throws:
com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect to message server host failed Connect_PM
TYPE=B MSHOST=myserverxxx
GROUP=PUBLIC R3NAME=XXX MSSERV=sapmsXXX PCS=1

On this SP9 system, though I could create JCo connection for another R3 system (I mean Test Connection runs successfully), when I run the application, it throws this exception:

The usual problem: Web Dynpro runtime in NWDS and on Web AS have incompatible versions (SP numbers).

Hi Armin,
Well, that IS the problem with the second part of my post But, the error (partner not reached) is very surprising, because when I created the connections for another R3 server, connections were tested successfully (and application threw runtime exceptions!). Moreover, when I compared the j2ee/os_libs folder, among the other things, my sp11 windows system had sapjco.jar and a couple of DLLs which my sp9 solaris system did not have. Does this mean that I donot have JCo installed on my SP9 system? How it is possible that test connection works for one R3 server and not for another?
I would be thankful for any help.
