Automatic refreshing of Workbooks

Hi All,

I am working on BW 3.0B.

Our Client has a workbook that he wants refreshed every morning after the nightly ETL is complete. After the refresh, the workbook needs to be moved to a common document folder. Is there any way to automate this? We tried the reporting agent, but that works only for Web templates.

Any suggestions/solns will be of great help.

Have you considered Download Scheduler functionalities? It let's you downlaod in XLS format ... for more detailed info see Reporting Agent in SAPNET (http://service.sap.com/bw -> InfoIndex)

Yeah,

We explored that option.

But,if I am not wrong, the Reporting agent will allow for scheduling a download of the Web Templates. I want to schedule for Workbooks.

I guess, Reporting agent doesn't allow to schedule for Workbooks.

You can dowload the qeury in XLS format ... but without VBA functionalities. So if your WB is simple (no additional functionalities) the solution should work. If you need to run VBA macros after refresh ... I'm afraid that's not a good solution.
