BW Scheduler

Hi all;

1. Could anyone please give me the steps how do I set up daily upload at midnight for a job schedule ? I didn't find anywhere to set up this process.

2. Also, would you please give me some details on where is the BW frequent user go and schedule the job? Is that on the Infopackage or via reporting agent? The version is 3.1

Thank you in Advance.

    With a job you can use TCodes SM36 or SM37 to do that, as in R/3. If you are new to this use SM36 and choose "Job Wizard" to start ... it will give you some infos as in a guide

    If you are interested to schedule an InfoPackage choose "Start Later in Background" (Schedule tab) and then "Scheduling Options". Select Date Time (eg tomorrow 00.00.01) and mark it as "Periodic job". Then you will be forced to indicate the Period (of repetiotion) Values (eg: daily) with some Resttrictions (eg not un saturday or sunday).

    You should manag the sam options both in InfoPacakge (to load) and Reporting Agent (to print or execute background queries ...).

    The same options are available, in Process Chains (TCode RSPC): ther you can design complex processes relation and dependancies to be executed together, in the same framework (eg. Reporting Agent after InfoPackage only in successfull ...). According to me this new functionality helps a lot in wide scenarios ...

    Hope it helps

    Hallo Sajita,

    Some interesting information for you: SAP now ships Job Scheduling Capabilities of SAP NetWeaver, which offers new functionality for job scheduling and monitoring accross your complete SAP landscape. This makes it very easy to not only define and manage jobs, but also dependencies accross multiple SAP applications.

    Please have a look at for more information.

    Kind regards,

    Edwin Esser
