Inquiry and Quotation Process - Could start @ the middle of SD process

Hello experts,

I am having the doubt in SD modules Inquiry and Quotation process that one of my client who is already using the following SD process Sales order> PGI>Create Billing doc---> Excise invoice.

Now they planned to implement the Inquiry and Quotation Process too in-order to fulfill their internal requirement, hence kindly suggest whether is it possible to implement that process in the mid and if YES what is the prerequisites and relevant things want to check.

Dear Ramesh,

In addition to the copy control mentioned by Lakshmipathi, Please extend the inquiry and quotation document types to the relevant sales area.

Maintain VTAA between inquiry doc type and Quotation doc type

Maintain VTAA between quotation doc type and Sales order doc type.

if YES what is the prerequisites and relevant things want to check

You have to maintain copy controls in VTAA for Inquiry to Quotation and Quotation to Order with the required item category.
