Selecting Max Value of KF for a date range

Hi All,

I have an ODS with details of Trips to different Hotels.

One of The Key figures is Hotel Rate. The Contract start date is a Key in the ODS.

for a particular range of dates if I have 2 different rates for a Hotel..How do I display the MAX Rate for the Hotel ?? Coz If there are 10 records for that particular hotel all these rates get aggregated..I can`t use he avg..as I need only the Max Rate in that date range..

Thanks in Advance,

Ashish.

Hi Ashish,

what is this particular range of dates ? you have FROM date in your ODS as key field, but you have also TO date ?

You can obtain what you want by aggregation properties on your KF (in RSA1)...set aggregation on 'Maximum'...

let me know !

Bye,

Roberto

Hi ,

I also do have the to date but thats not a part of the key.

If I have a rate 200 For period of july, and rate 300 for august..

I need to see rate 300 when I run my report for July thru august..

If i run it for July I need to see 200..

I have the rates right at individual Record Levels in the ODS..But since theree are multiple records for the same hotel these get added up...

I just need the Max rate for a given period in the report..but its getting aggregated in the Bex Report..

Hope this clarifies..

Thanks for ur reply ..

Ashish.
