Delta update in a client structure Snnn

Former Member

Hello,

can anyone help me with my problem?

I have created a new infocube for the sales planning thru a customer structure 'Snnn', and i have configured all in the LBW0(R/3) and in the BW.

I have done the delta initialization and all works well. I have now all the data in the BW.

But i can´t retrieve new data from the delta update.

The result is always 0 records.

And i confirm that in the RSA7 queue list there isn´t any data(?!?), after i create new records for the Snnn structure.

Many thanks in advance...

António

Hi António !

Do you have set all the update parameters for your infostructure (t-code OMO1)? In other words, (don't mind about RSA7) are you seeing your new data in your infostructure ?

Do you have activated delta updating in RMCSBIWC ?

Through the flag 'Activate/Deactivate‘ the update process into the delta tables (SnnnBIW1/SnnnBIW2) is swichted on/off. In the table TMCBIW is defined which table is active for your delta update.

Hope it helps !

Hi Roberto,

all your questions i have done this,

but just the last one i have some doubts:

The table as the this data:

Mandt Struc BIW At Status BI

100 S001 1

100 S953 X 1

that means that the S953 is ok for the delta?

the tables SnnnBIW1/SnnnBIW2 don´t have to be in this table TMCBIW?

thanks

António,

your TMCBIW is right...delta tables should be already active in data dictionary (check this in se11)...have you tried to re-generate update programs via 'generate updating' in LBW0 ?

However, which type of period split (eg. monthly, weekly) and update mode (eg. synchronous or asynchronous) do you have choosen ?

Hi,

both tables are active.

I have done the re-generation of the update programs...

I i now a doubt because of your period split question:

The period split is 'Posting Period' and the update mode (2) asynchronous updating.

Is this period split wrong?

but the new entries i have created appear in the structure Snnn, so they have to appear in the snnnbiw1/2?

Many many thanks once more...

When you activate the delta updating, the OLTP system has automatically created an entry in the control table TMCBIW. As you can see, for your particular infostructure the field 'BIW active' has the value X and the field 'BIW status' is filled with value ‘1’ (refers to table SnnnBIW1). The orgininal LIS update program ‚RMCX#### will be enhanced within the form routines ‚form Snnnbiw1_update_....‘ and ‚form Snnnbiw2_update.

In fact, with transaction SE38 you have to see at the end of the program [starting at line 870 / 1006], that the program is enhanced within a ‘BIW delta update’ coding.

Attention!

Generate Updating function requires that the LIS updating rules has to be deactivated (OMO1)!

Each special infostructure in LIS have an own updating program. Therefore you only have to switch off the updating for the needed infostructures/infosources and not for all.

About period split concept, here is an example:

with a weekly update of sales figures only the sales document information that has been added or changed in the corresponding previous week should be extracted.

I confirm that the RMCX#### for the Snnn as the updates, so i think that is everything ok!

So the problem must be in the split period?

but with this parameters the snnn structure has todays updates so the snnnbiws have to be updated at same time, or am i wrong?

I think that we have just revisited all the process, and was somethings that i did´t know that even exists... so i'm going to do all the process again from the beginning making some debugs in the RMCX#### to try to discover what is my problem.

Many thanks roberto, if you have more ideas don´t forget me

Hi António,

I think I will not available on these forums in the next days (sigh!)...but don't worry, ask for some help and a lot of expert will reply to your question !

Anyway,

if in your RMCX#### you see the 'addition' for delta update, I think you have to debug your updating process (and I don't think your posting period can cause the problem because you are able to see your data in Snnn structure and when data is updated in Snnn, the same data have to be updated in SnnnBIWS..you are right...!)

Let me know the end !

Hello Roberto!!!

Today at first time i create a new invoice, it appears on the Snnnbiw1!!!!!

I after that i create some other documents and everything works well....

I think that after 'remaking' all the process from the beginning it solves anything that was wrong...

Or the document that i was working yesterday as some problem... i'm working on a test system...

thanks once again!!!

António
