Hi, after I patched to Patchlevel 28, the action-inbox iView for some users throws an exception. (Recourse not found). Did anyone have similar problems with Patch 28? Is there a way to fix the Problem?

Hi,
I figured out a work-around.
I used the folders from my user that still is able to use the action-inbox-iView. I copied the content from the actioninbox folder (/userhome/user_xy/actioninbox) of the user that is able to view the notifications to one that is not. After that the other user will be able to use the action-inbox-iView.
You only have to modify the acl. Then you can copy with the KM.
I know that this is not a good way for a productive system, but in order to work with subscriptions due to the time of patching the bug, it is a working work-around.

Hi,
in order to make more complete the workaround, and provide full coverage to all users, if we experiment problems on user myUser, then we have to create manually the following folders:
root > userhome > myUser > actioninbox > edit > checkout
root > userhome > myUser > actioninbox > collaboration > feedback
root > userhome > myUser > actioninbox > approval > approved
root > userhome > myUser > actioninbox > approval > review
root > userhome > myUser > actioninbox > subscription > administration
root > userhome > myUser > actioninbox > subscription > notification

I have the same error... I'm sure it's a CM Patch 28 HF1 problem
We hope on next patches

Hi,
sorry to tell, but this seems to be a known bug, that will be fixed with Patch 30.
Currently there is no workaround for that....

Hi Eik,
I don't know if this touches your problem, but for Hotfix 1 addresse UWL and AdHocWorkflow component issues, at least I would try to install this and try again...
Hope it helps

PS: When patching to patch 28, you will also have patched J2EE engine and Java Basic Lib's (these to level 16, and after having patched KM & portal)?!

Hi Detlev,
thanks for your fast reply.
I already updated with HF1
In Patch 28 the access for the Action-Inbox changed. I believe that this is the problem. In HF1 nothing changed to the subscription.
When I patched the Portal i applied:
- J2EE Engine
- Portal Platform
- CM&COLL
What do you mean with the Java Basic lib's?
Eik
Hi Eik,
Java Basic Libs:
service.sap.com/swdc -- download -- support packages and patches -- entry by application group -- sap netweaver -- < sap netweaver 04 -- sap web as -- sap web as 6.20 -- sap web as java -- sap basic java libs 6.20 -- os independent -- SAP Basic Java Libs 6.20 Support Package 16: https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~swdc/002007974700000197172004D/SAPJBASIS16_0-10001916.sca?_ACTION=DL_DIRECT
To install, run J2EE server, stop irj via Visual Admin, deploy patch via SDM, start irj, restart j2ee engine.
It is known that patch 16 is needed for patch 28 for some issues; if your belongs to these - sorry, I don't know. Anyhow, you should upgrade.
Patch 17 of Basic Java Libs are needed for Patch 29 of J2EE engine.
Hope it helps
Detlev
