Posting 201 movement in WM

Dear Experts,

At the moment I am not able to influence the cost centre out of a 201 WM movement, whereas I believe this should be possible in standard SAP. I want to do 201 movement in WM , which should trigger movement 201 in IM.

I tried below scenario :

1. LT01 : create TR with WM movemnt type 201 and with specifying cost centre 51000 (K) as requirement tracking.

2. This puts the stock into storage type 911 , bin 51000.

3. But u2013 and this is something that puzzles me at the moment, how to get this out of 911 ?

4. With LI21 , a material document is created and the bin is cleared

5. But the movement type is 711 (I would rather have 201)

6. The cost centre is 41002 ( any cost centre assigned via OKB9 )

o At the same time, I am pretty sure that it is possible by standard SAP to influence the u201Crealu201D costcentre in the IM document

. Why would there otherwise be the possibility to specify this cost centre in the WM movement at LT01 ?

Precisely, I am looking to achieve below:

1) We push manually the stock to 911, 51000 (via LT01 or even LT10)

2) When clearing 911 51000, that same cost centre is appearing in the material document

Kindly advice how to achieve this.

Dear Abhijit,

depending on your configuration, the transfer of material in WM generally takes place after the material is issued from IM. Issuance of Material from IM will create an auto TR (if you have it configured).

Once you have a TR, TO creation and confirmation will have the stock moved out from WM and issued against cost center.

Use Tcode MB1A to issue the material to costcenter with mvt type 201. This will solve your issue.

You have to do via Inventory Management not in WM alone.

Also MIGO - goods issue - other - relevent movement type 201 can be used for goods issue to CC

I prefer MIGO over MB1A personaly but both work fine when configured properly (MB1A is better for many, many items I admit)

LT01 creates a transfer order, but does not adjust inventory at the IM level.

You need to do the 201 in IM (MB1X), and then do the transfer orders in WM.

Hi Abhijit,

I can not understand your problem exactly, but below the standard process.

1. Issue the goods to cost center in IM

2. based on settings in ) interfaces >IM>Define movement types TR and TO will generate.

If auto setting is not configured in the above step, then TR will generate.

3. Use LT06 ( Create TO against material document) create TO

4. Confirm the TO.

Using above simple steps you can issue goods from warehouse.
