Hello Experts,
I am new to WM and need your valuable input on one of the issue regarding bar code scanning
We have barcode scanning (scanner connected to USB) facility only for Confirmation of TO during PICKING.
Process:
Warehouse guy takes the hard copy of TO and goes to pick all the items. Loads all the items in a cart and comes to scanning place.
Goes to T code: LMo5 and scans the barcode on TO and presses enter. Suppose the TO has following items
Item A - 4 pcs
Item B - 6 pcs
He scans item A 4 times and then item B 6 times and saves to confirm TO
Issue
User is not comfortable with above and wants scanning process to be random. Basically he wants to scan whichever item he gets to hold and not in the order of TO
example: Item B = 2 pcs + Item A=3 pcs + Item B = 4pcs + Item A = 1pcs
In the end system should consolidate + verify and if all okay should allow to confirm the TO.
Is this possible? Thanks in advance

Rajoo
Hi,
I think this may not be possible, if you select the TO in LM)5 and enter the item and scan the Item A, if the TO qty is 10 and he enter 5 and save, the system will take as difference in confirmation and it postthe remainig 5 in the difference bin.
So, he needs to enter the collective qty per item in LM05.
If he needs to pick Item A in two separate area, then you can split the TO by picking area and you will get two TO with Item A 5 each, there he can confirm the total TO qty.
Thanks,
JK

Hello,
What I did was copy LT12 to ZT12 and then add sone extra functions into the dialog modules.
Example, I added a UPC field in the ZT12 second screen with a cursor entry and then the barcode scanner would put the UPC in the field and then this would activate an event that went and updated the scanned quantity in my own internal table (ABAP).
I did initially like LM05, but the same scenario as you.
Hope it helps.
Regards
Waza
