Digital Signature for Inspection Plan and Routing

Hi,

Can someone please help me on the topic of how to activate Digital Signature for inspection plan changes. I need to activate Digital signature functionality for inspection plan or routing. Please guide me to any link or shared documents on this topic.

Hi Vineet,

Digital Signature forms a part of the approval process in Engineering Change Management (ECM).

Here, you create an Engineering Change Request (ECR) with Release keys. When this ECR goes through approval process,

it uses Digital Signature for the approval process. In this ECR, you need to assign the Object type: Task List (Q) and the Object (Inspn Plan number). Now, it is ready for deployment.

This change number is entered in the initial screen of the QP02 transaction for Inspn plan changes. Here, you can also enter the Key date.

Then you go in to Inspection Plan Header. Here, you enter the Change Parameters (with change number/with ECO with change type/with ECO without change type). If you indicated with change type here, you need to enter the Change type in the second row.

Thus, I think that Digital Signature probably has no proble as long as you map the object type and object correctly in the ECR.

Hi Vineeth,

Standard SAP does not support this. Though I came across similar situation for maintenance plan, where we used BADI for this.

Try to go through DIG_SIGNATURE_MAINT_PLAN. Consult with a good ABAPer if he can modify it some how for inspection plan.

Thanks for sharing those documents. I will go through above documents and will get back to you incase of any doubts. I was expecting some standard Digital Signature functionality for the above QM masters data (Inspection Plan).

Sametime, I would like to know, whether Digital Signature functionality is available for Audit Management (EHP4)? Please share some details, if you are aware of that.

Hi Vineeth,

The good news is yes we have digital signature in Audit Mngmnt and the bad news is its a tough job to get it done in one shot.

Though am not in front of SAP logon right now, still I think its in in SPRO --> X-allpication components --> Audt ---> Control ---> Digital signature.

Sorry! I have not personally worked on this particular scenario of e-signature in audit, so cant help more right now.

And Thanks Swarnali for your point on Digital Signature in Audit MAnagement. I got few points to add over what you shared here.

The path SAP IMG > Cross Application Components > Audit Management > System Adjustments > Business Add- Ins > BADIs within the Audit Application > Provide Signature for Audit.

BADI is PLM_AUDIT_SIGNATURE

Hi,

I am having some doubt related to Digital Signature in FMEA

1. How to assign Digital Signature strategy for FMEA types? In SAP help, it is saying we can do it through IMG > QM> Q Planning> FMEA> FMEA Definition > FMEA Types. But here I could not find any provision to enter Signature strategy. Could someone please help regarding this question.

2. How to see open Digital Signature Logs? In SAP help, it is guiding as to see it through Logistics > QM > Q Planning > FMEA > Environment > Digital Signature Logs. But there is not option to choose called Digital Signature Log.

In SPRO for Digital Signature setting is activation/ implementation of BADI " PLM_FMEA_SIGNATURE"

Sorry have not worked in FMEA-digital sig. For logs, DSAL is the Tcode for digital signature logs.
