Crystal Reports 2011 require SAP Integration Kit

Hi

we are implementing BO4 and are using Crystal2011 as part of the toolset. Does CR2011 require any from of SAP integration kit to use soem of the direct access (PC desktop) datasources in CR2011 like ...

SAP BW MDX Query

SAP Info Sets

SAP Operational Data Store

SAP Table, Cluster or Function

I was under the impression that BO4 did not need the SAP integration Kit as per BOXI 3.x . I noticed in the 'Crystal 2011 User Guide' section 24.1.2 that it talks about Add-ons for this typye of connectivity.

Any ideas?

Hi Mike,

I checked with the PM group on this a few weeks ago for another post and here's what they had to say:

You should be able to report from ECC with any of u201CSAP Info setsu201D, u201CSAP Operational Data Storeu201D or u201CSAP Table, Cluster, or Functionu201D in the Report Designers Database Wizard.

When I downloaded CR 2011 Evaluation from the web site the transports were in the downloaded file. When the file was unzipped they we located in the following folder.

<folder where I unzipped>\DATA_UNITS\CrystalReports\Collaterals\Add-Ons\SAP\Transports

So those Transports will need to be installed on the ECC server.
