You'll need to be a bit more exact in what you are asking.

In order for your WebAS system to run BSP's you need to have all the service nodes in transaction SICF activated. You also need to be sure all of your icm parameters are correct in transactions RZ10 and SMICM.

In order to integrate a BSP in Enterprise Portal iView you have to set the BSP for "Portal Integration" on the properties tab of the BSP and then in your Enterprise Portal you have to build your connection to the BSP as well as the iView to show it.

For more detailed info you'll have to provide more info.

And please remember this is not a place for "urgent" problems. We are all here to help each other and we all understand that are needs as well as those of others are "urgent" indeed but don't post it, it can end up causing the reverse effect of less people helping you

ok thanks Craig for the response and I am sorry for that.

I have already created bsp and is working fine when I am accessing it from browser. it has marked for 'support for portal integration'.

in the portal content administration tab when I am creating iViews for BSP , I have to give a 'system' (that has to be created through administrator role). I guess I am not quite confident with that system parameter setting. This is exartly what my question is.

if somebody can tell me what all the parameters are required and in what format.

For that part of your question I would suggest you jump over to the Portal forums since it's a Portal specific question about creating a "System" connection.

The guys there are usually just as quick to answer

Good luck!

Hi Ashutosh

If you are interested in BSP iViews in Enterprise Potal?

you can check the following:

1. In the system landscape --> system properties, you have to do some settings for WAS:

WAS Host --> <hostname>:<portname>

e.g. 192.168.1.10:8080

WAS Path --> sap/bc/ (or /sap/bc, i'm not sure)

Protocol: Http

2. Have you created the Alias for the system in your system landscape?? (when you are creating an iView, you have to enter system which is system alias. So, create a system alias if not already created)

i have worked on BSP iViews, write more about your problem after trying the above steps if not already done.

Be careful about using of IP addresses. We do not support this, only fully qualified domain names. Search through forum, weblogs and SAP notes using keyword FQDN for the gorry details.

Hi Ashish,

I have solved the problem. the problem was setting the WAS path which is correctly 'sap/bc'. I have used ip address and port for WAS Host name since my server could not resolve server name.

Thanks all for your valuable input
