Export to excel issue

Hi guys,

A customer of ours is trying to use the export to excel option. When he tries to use it in SAP 2007 the save as type does not have an excel option. How can this be fixed?

Which Version of MS Office do you have?

I use SAP 8.81 PL 05 with MS Office 2007......

And I get an option to save in .xls while exporting to excel.......

Please try the same as I suggest you.........

thanks for the replies. The customer is using Windows xp and office 2003. The SAP version is 2007A SP01 PL07. We don't have the time to upgrade them at the moment. However, one user can export to excel on their pc, but another can't.

Hi!

After clicking export to excel icon, on the save as window-- type the file name lke this

"filename.xls" (Filename dot xls, within double quots)

I tried a combination of fixing the paths in general settings and lowering the security of excel. It seems to have helped the situation.

Hi Costas,

The export to excel function is actually only export a text file. User cant save the file directly save the file to excel format.

You need Autoopen.xls file to open the exported file and use Excel function to save as xls file.
