Copying Enterprise services from one client to other

Dear all,

Iam new to this topic .

I am an ABAP developer, i have a requirement to copy Enterprise Services (i mean the URI along with all its contents) from one client to another client which does not have EHP4 implemented .

For example http://sap.com/xi/BASIS/Global along with its Message types, service interfaces and data types.

How do we copy these ES.

Any help would be greatfull.

Regards,

    Hi,

Judging from the namespace you mentioned below, it standard SAP Delivered content that you're trying to copy. This won't work.

If the Enterprise Services that you require are only delivered with EHP4 then you will need to upgrade to EHP4 to have them become available in the client in question.

You might also want to check if the services that you need were not already available in an earlier EHP, if they are then you can use them 'as is' in the other client.

What do you see when you use transaction code SPROXY in the client that's not on EHP4?

      Hi,

First search for the Enterprise Service/s that you want to use in the ES Workpalce. Once you find it there, check the 'First shipped with...' value. This will indicate from which EHP this service was available & whether you need to upgrade, if it was availble with an older EHP (less than or equal to your non-EHP4 client), then you would be okay, if not - an upgrade would be necessary.

Next (if it's available on/for your older EHP client) you would need to ascertain where these URI's (in SPROXY) are being read/populated from. It might be from a SAP PI ESR (check this from SPROXY by doing a connection test).

If the URI read is from a SAP PI ESR then the relevant ESR content would need to be downloaded by a SAP PI developer from the SAP Service Marketplace & imported into the SAP PI ESR. Then when you refresh the SPROXY listing you will see the content that you want to use listed.

      Regards, Trevor
