plese help me to find the solution
I have a material whose procurement type is 'X':both in house and externally procured.
now if i execute MRP run planned order are created now can we differentiate the planned order for procurement and in house production.
In plaf table i am always getting inhouse produced planned orders what about externally procured materials.

If you run MRP planned orders will get created. This is fine. However, based on the stock situation of the material you either create a PR in order to procure it externally or produce it.

You have used procurement type as X and then when system generates planned order which can be eihter conveted to production or Purch. Req.
Now, before converting planned order into PR or prod. order how system will know that this planned order is going to be PR or Prod. Order? Now my question is, if you know in advance that a material you are going ot produce/procure, then why use procurement type X?
In system, you can put some additional flag in material master and can classify based on flag if it is gonig to be PR or production order but I think it is not good requirement.

Hi Krishna Mohan,
In Projects, if we assign material procurement type "X", always system generates first planned order when we run MRP, and for subsequent Material procurement type F, PR's will generate. We can see the list of Planned orders in t:code CN44N, where as PR's in ME5J. We can convert the planned order to PR and this will appear in ME5J.
Thanks
