CJ9F Plan Version Copy not inlcuding all WBS elements

Former Member

We run a background job using CJ9F to copy plan data from Version 2 to 206. However, 1 project (that we've currently identified) from the list of thousands has an issue. Certain WBS elements within the project has its data copied between versions, but some don't. The WBS elements that don't are set up exactly as the ones that work.

I did a normal run of CJ9F and all the data copied for that project without issues. Though, after 3 background runs of CJ9F, certain WBS elements still don't get copied.

Any ideas welcome!

Cheers

Hi,

Check the following,

1) While the job is running in background, it would be using a variant to identify the list of WBS Elements. Check whether there was any changes made to this Variant. Whetehr any WBS was excluded / deleted etc. Also check whether any status profile has been used in your variant which is making certain WBS Element to beexcluded.

2). Check the planning done on Version 2 for the ones that did not got copied to see whether the data was updated correctly.

Hi Sreekanth,

1. Thanks for the advice. I have already done the variant check. It includes ALL company codes and no WBS restriction. There is a status profile selection which includes REL, PREL and CRTD. This WBS is in REL.

I will try and copy the variant and then further restrict by the WBS's with the problem and check if the copy takes place.

2. I opened both Version 2 and Version 206 in CJR2 for ALL WBS elements in the project. All of the WBS elements exist with data in Version 2... but only some of them exist in Version 206, e.g.

Version 2 plan data WBS element list in CJR2

T.00200.01.01.01

T.00200.01.01.02

T.00200.01.01.03

T.00200.01.02

T.00200.01.03.01

T.00200.01.03.02

T.00200.01.03.03

Version 206 - all the WBS have not been copied.

T.00200.01.01.01

T.00200.01.01.03

T.00200.01.02

T.00200.01.03.01

When I manually execute CJ9F for WBS elements they are copied to version 206 with no issues.

Thanks

Hi,

See if the missing WBS Element has any status other than the one in Status profile. If not, then i can only guess. When you manually execute, did you try back ground mode or ran in the foreground mode? If not execute a bunch of WBS Element in the back ground mode and see if the issue is replicating. Hope this helps you to find a solution.

All the best.
