Using SHD0 in 4.7 version.

1) i am trying to use standard tocde in which we can use variant group .

Enter standard tcode. mm01

Give a group name: z_mm01

Click on new options then it will take to mm01 and in this we can make any fields as mandatory, invisible, outputted on screen, while running the transaction. it is using bdc format.

i am facing a problem at the point when i will activate the group name

Under standard variant group heading.

Once u will activate it, its reflecting the changes on mm01.

Even if i assigned the user and set proposal for that group variant then it will reflect the changes to those users, which is not being assigned.

In short, suppose on mm01 any field is editable and i want to make that field as disable for particular user then how to achieve it.

Can anyone put light on this issue?

I was not able to find any option to assign a transaction code to User Group. If we can find that then it should work perfectly...i will explore it more..

Meanwhile there is one more option, which doesnt leaverage upon group concept. In this option don't activate it but assign this transaction variant to a custom transaction code and give this Custom Tcode to users. (SHD0 -> Goto-> Create Variant transaction).

It wont effect MM01 and other userds can use ZMM01.

    Hope it helps.
