CR 2008 SP4 hyperlink do not function

Hi,

I am upgrading my application from CR XI R2 SP6 to CR 2008.SP4

I notice this:

Hyperlink fiels (web, mail, file) DO NOT function when running on a Win 7 64 Bit, but they GO on Win 7 32 Bit

II tried both with rpt file saved with CR XI and rpt file saved with CR 2008 - same behavior ....

Also, on certain rpt files, when previewing I receive a "system.nullreferenceExceptions, (in CrystalDecision.Windows.Forms.pageControl.OnMouseMove) but only if mouse is positioned in header section of report when the CrystalreportViewer shows ..., as if I quicly move mouse in detail section before crviewer shows, the error don't raise .... (in CR XI R2 the same report has no problem). Again, the exception throws both with rpt XI / 2008 version, and this occurs both on 64 and 32 bit Windows 7

CR 2008 SP3 runs fine everywhere, hypelinks do their job ......

The exceptioin Nullreference goes away after calling crystalreportviewer1.refresh() in sub form.onActivated ....

now ? I have about 300 customers pcs to downgrade to SP3 ???????

I hope there is a smarter way .......

I am very disappointed.

Well, I just tested this with SP 5 and it works just fine for all cases. See attached report. Make sure you have indeed applied SP; In the CR 2008 designer go to the Help Menu | About... You should see that the version is 12.5.0.1190. It is for me and I applied the SP from here:

https://www.sdn.sap.com/downloads/BusinessObjects/cr2008_sp5.zip

MSM, MSI, etc., are on the [Crystal Reports 2008 Reference|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/crystal-xcelsius-support?rid=/webcontent/uuid/10e38d93-7f07-2d10-beae-e739182f8ada] page.

Just as an FYI, the same issue has been resolved in SP 2 for CRVS2010.

Ludek,

I installed SP5 on two production machines, one windows 7 sp1 pro 32 bit and one windows 7 pro sp1,x64, both full patched.

I initially uninstall CR2008 sp4 from control panel and then install CR2008 sp5 (redist Install)

I confirm that issues are still here on both machines.

By the way, hyperlinks don't function in CR vs2010 Sp2. You told me to wait for sp3 in another thread.

Not sure why this would not work for you. One thing I would like you to try is the attached report which I used for testing here. If that does not work for you either, then I suspect comparing a working and non working environments will be the way to go. However, you'll have to create a phone case for that:

Re. CRVS2010 - when I looked up the ADAPT number in the database, it is marked as fixed for both CR 2008 and CRVS2010. One thing I missed is that for CRVS2010 it is marked as fixed in the code stream for SP3 (which will release mid year). Apologies for the confusion on that.

Ludek,

on my development machine, it is ok only in designer mode.

When I launch an application hyperlink don't work. (like the two production machines)

Like I said, I'm not sure what more we can do over the forums(?).
