HI Experts,
We have ESS (ECC6.0 and EhP4) for employees to record hours (CATS). ESS for CATS is a standard iView. The approval of hours have been defined using a Workflow task TS31000007. There is no Time (evaluation) management in use (att./absences) but wage types are entered in the profile.
Partner VU (user responsible) has been set as the approver and VU is mandatory in CS order.
The problem is that when a user record hours against CS order & operation and the Approval is done via UWL the entries won't be transferred into PM/CS but directly to CO. It doesn't matter if hours were recorded in CAT2 or in portal.
If approval is done using CATS_APPR_LITE or even via workflow in Business Workplace --> CS hours are transferred to PM/CS as they should.
The CS order & operation is correct. The wage type is not a bonus wage (then we know it doesn't show in CS), and all other requisites to have CS should be met (and of course the postings wouldn't work in any other method if master data would be incorrect).
A HR and CS/PM postings are created, and CO documents created as a follow-on documents for CS.
When we checked CATSDB after using ESS or backend, the table has been filled properly. There is no error message.
Any ideas? Help is highly appreciated.

Pia

Hello Pia,
First, you should run the report CATA afterwards so that the data is transferred to the Target Component. Currently, only transfer to HR is possible to be done without the Transfer step but rather automatically after approval.
Second, the data when CATA is run will only be transferred to PM/CS on the following conditions:
1. On CATA you have the field to the proper target component set (this is pretty obvious, I know).
2. You are using a field which is relevant to the target component. I have created a list for your reference:

Kind regards,
Bentow.

depending upon attributes the times are transferred to the target component
You can check via help.sap.com for the attributes which determine the traget component
You can check interface table catsco etc
