Dear Friends,

I have below requirement. Your help is appreciated.

The following states require that the employee use the same *filing status* and *allowances* as they have on Federal. SAP currently allows the employee to have 2 different records for Fed and State and the backend payroll fixes the issue to make them match. We would like SAP mandate that the Fed and State 210 for these state always match. The states are

Colorado, Delware, Idaho, MN, MT,NE,NM,OK,OR,PA,RI,SC,UT,MS,ND,VT,CA

As per my understanding it is a process...not a standard requirement.

Note for these states you need collect only Fed W4, and submit that Fed W4 to the State.

Please read this from [Colorado State website|http://www.colorado.gov/cs/Satellite?blobcol=urldata&blobheader=application%2Fpdf&blobkey=id&blobtable=MungoBlobs&blobwhere=1239161152849&ssbinary=true]

No...you dont need to. Because it is process. Payroll Team( Business) who ever key W4 info in the system has to get only Fed W4 for the employees in these state and key in the same info for both Fed and State.

If you have ESS W4 , then put a validation in ESS user exit to validate the w4 info these states should match with Fed.

Check T5UTZ table some states might have flag set to 3 for W4.Like Colorado does not need a W4.

Yes. Option 3 , I am also planning to use. After this, run payroll and verify in paystub. See allowance and filing status are matching. Please advise.

Hi Amosha,

If I select option 3 in table T5UTZ table does it impact to TUBS. I selected option 3 and tested it is working. But I would like to know any impact on TUBS? And also, which level of TUBS. Your help is greatly appreciated.
