BPC Specific Master Data in Cost Center hierarchy

Hi all -

I have a few dummy Cost Center members that are directly maintained in BPC. I need these members to roll-up in the existing 0COSTCENTER hierarchy. When I load the hierarchy using the DM packages, the parent relationship in PARENTH1 is overwritten (which is by design according to documentation from SAP). Is there anyway to specifically call out this (or multiple) member(s) to assign which parent they belong to during the DM load process?

The problem with BPC hierarchies is that... they just get dropped and recreated with every such hierarchy import. Hence you cannot get that functionality working with the given feature.

How ever I tried to write an ABAP program to achieve the same... There are two methods of if_uja_dim_data interface..... first read_mbr_data which reads the dimension member data including the hierarchy (parenth1) and do what ever tweaking you want to do with the hierarchy members and use write_mbr_data method to write the dimension data back to the dimension.

Try to include this in a separate ABAP program or a custom BAdI...... just check which fits your scenario.

    Hope this helps.

    Happy to help....
