Vendor and Contact Person must have different number ranges in Vendor Like UI - MDG

Hello Experts,

We are implementing Vendor Like UI in MDG for our client. The requirement is to enable to Contact Person too.

As of now, we have enabled it. but unfortunately it is taking the same number range which is of Vendor. This is happening because in the Configuration, It selects the grouping based on the Internal Standard Grouping.

My Number Ranges are different for each grouping.

With the Above situation:-

When I try to create the Vendor, the Account Group by default holds the Z002 value which is wrong, I need to default it with Z001 value.

If I select the internal standard grouping as Z001, then everything happens good, but after the creation of Contact Person, it takes the number range defined in Z1. It should take the number range defined in 02.

How can I make the contact person to select the number range from 02.

Vendor that I am creating if Account Group Z001.

But I want it to be defaulted with Z001 & read only in the Vendor UI rather than drop down field. And it can be done only when the Internal Std. grouping is marked as X to Z001.

I am going with this solution, I have written a implicit enh in the BP_HANDLER, where the BP_GROUPING is derived for the Contact Person. Obviously it was picking Z001, so I changed it to Z002. Now everythig seems to working fine.

Hello Rohit,

The vendor you are creating is of Account group Z001 or Z002?

As far as I know the contact person number range in your case should always be picked up from Number Range 02 as that has the Internal Std grouping assigned.

So your BP(Vendor) number will be according the Account Group you choose in the drop down for Account Group.

But the BP contact person will always from the number range 02.
