Hi Experts,

We need to add new intervals to an exiting Number Range.

Transation: SNRO

Object Name: Payment Forms

Object ID: FKKPYFORM

No. of intervals existing: 50

No. of intervals need to be added: 10

Just need to confirm on the process of adding new intervals to an existing:

1. Do we add intervals to an existing number range in the development environment and migrate it till production like any configue. If yes, what will be the impact of following this process.

2. Do we add intervals to an existing number range directly in the PROD system.

The existing intervals for the number range are in use.

Response will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ankur

The impact of moving through transport is that the bottom end of the range from dev will most often be far below the number already in use in Q and production systems. Therefore, one usually sets the range in the instance where it is needed.

Why not just extend the high number?

Dave...

Thanks for the response.

My understanding was also the same...just wanted to take an expert opinion and confirm on the process.

Thanks,

Ankur
