Deletion of Duplicate records from DSO.

Hi All,

I have a Write Optimized DSO with duplicate data, the data is duplicate at PSA level ,hence the Infocubes that have DSO as data mart also have duplcates for a day at the start of the month.

I have segregated the duplicates in an excel files and found the condition of selective deletion to the DTP request ID and data package and as we are working on a retail project , the store number that has the duplicate records.

Now for selective deletion, we dont get DTP request & Data package ID as conditions to delete teh record.

What are the possible methods that we can go for in this case?

and I need to delete all the requests in the infocubes after the date we have duplicate data and reload all the data from DSO into infocube.

Hi ,

Delete all the request in Cube and DSO next when your load we can select the option ignore dupplicate records option DTP level.

Not feasible, Requests have millions of records.

hi,

goto the write optimized DSO and find all the requests you want to delete or which contain duplicate data.Click on the Data mart status for the corrupt request in DSO and it would give you the request number of the target for the same data load. Check if only 1 request has been loaded in the target for each DSO request or 2-3 requests are clubbed in one target request.

If there is 1:1 mapping then note down all the target requests for the corrupt DSO request and selectively delete the cube based on these request id's.
