Hi
I populate a quantity characteristic in a cube.
This characteristic is defined as Quantity and she must be not aggregable (MAX or MIN).
In the characteristic definition, the Aggregation=SUM, the attribute is read only ?
How can i modify it to MAX or MIN
Thanks
Gilles F.
Hi Gilles,
I think you have to choose the aggregation at the infoobject creation.
You cannot change this in edit mode.

Hi,
if you set the KF properties in RSD1 to Min / Max, be aware that whenever you create an aggregate on the cube, the aggregation characteristic will be added automatically. This may turn down the advantages you expect from aggregate. Therefore try to solve the issue in BEx (this works onky in BEx 7.x and not in 3.x)

Hi Gilles,
Kindly use that Quantity Key figure in formulas.
or create restricted KF/Calculated KF.
then and only then you can change the aggregation setting of KPIs at query designer level.

Hi Gilles,
You can do it in different ways,
1) Got RSD1 transaction and maintain your infoobject, goto aggregation tab and select the aggregation type as MIN or MAX.
2) Or if you want to use it in query then goto your query and goto the key figure properties, there will you will have the option "Calculate Single Value as" In the dropdown box you can set min or max.
