new system installation on saperp6.0ehp5 suitable combinations

Hi all,

I am going to installi new system on SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 5(ABAP stack only) with MS SQL 2008 R2.cu1 in MS Windows Server 2003 r2 servicepack2 x64 standara edition.

this combination is suitable for the ehp5 installation or not?

and second one is which kernel version is suitable for this installation

Hi,

Yes, you can go ahead with the installation and it is supported from 20.12.2010

For ECC 6.0 EHP5 the kernel version is 720.

Hi,

goto www.service.sap.com/pam

in the search field type EHP5 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 and then click on the link

Now, click on Database Platform, scroll down, under SAP KERNEL 7.20 64-BIT (SAP KERNEL 7.20 64-BIT: Maintained until 31.12.2017) > MS SQL SERVER... > click on Windows...

I am not able to find SQL Server 2008 on this menu. Are you sure this is supported ? I can see that SQL Server 2005 is only supported.

Have you checked on service.sap.com/pam . I think with SQL 2008 is not supported yet. Just cross check on OSS.
