Hi all

I have 2 operating concerns and hence 2 datasources.

We have loaded data from one DataSource to standarad cube 0copa_c01

Should we have to load data from other Datasource into same cube or do we have to go for custom cube(Copy of standard cube 0copa_c01)?

Please help me out asap.

Thanks,

Bharath.

Hi,

If both of your data sources are giving different attributes then you can club them using Infosource and create transformation from infosource to your cube.

Hi Bharath,

My question is why you have created two datasource?

If it is because of two different operating concern then go for single cube.

or

If two datasource are completely diffferent from each-other then you should go for two different cube, which will give more flexibilty, easy to support, design and test.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

We have two different operating concerns(one for US and other for CHINA) so we created two data sources.

fields are almost same except a few.so what we should go for whether single cube or separate cubes.

Thanks,

Bharath.

Hi,

If you have country name as distinguishing field in your infocube then you can use same cube. If you don't want to add the country field then you will have to create another cube, other wise your data will be added in cube.

Hi Bharath,

You can definately go for single cube.

Build Suggestion: -

If your Source system contain or expect to have huge of amount of data in future, then you should go for two different cube(which will be called as Logical partitioning). Which will improove data load and data read performance. and do reporting on multiprovider which will have both these two cubes.
