Hi, has anyone enabled the sapi_sync = X parameter in RSADMIN before to see what the performance merits are from bypassing TRFC compression for datamart loads in BW? Would be interested on any feedback on anyones experience with this?
One system's experience I know of: 15% faster afterwards. However, I guess that typically you need most time in the update within BW (update rules etc.), so this value can only be reached if the rest of the update is fast anyway.
I took some measurements myself on our system and the performance was around 21% for somce loads and 2% for others. They very much varied as you suggest because of the other update processes....
