Workbook broadcast without using precal server

Hi

We were broadcasting excel workbooks using a pre calc server . We are on BI 7.0 but still on business explorer 3.5 and using excel 2007 version . Due to some issues in pre calc server we are not able to broadcast the workbooks anymore .

Is there any other way to automate the excel workbooks without a pre calc server ? We are ready to explore some ABAP solution also if its feasible . We need the below functionality

1) Pre caclculate workbooks with specific variants

2) broadcast the excel workbooks as attachments to lotus notes distribution groups

Any pointers will be appreciated

Thanks

Ankush

    Hi Ankush,

Workbooks can only ever be created for broadcasting via the precalculation server.

    What specifically is the issue?

    Regards,

    Michael

    Hi Ankush,

Broadcasting is always done by using precal server only and all the calculations are done on precal server. If precal is not working then you will have to execute workbook manually and then save the result and email it to the specific users.
