Issues in importing TR

HI All,

There is an issue in tranporting TR from BW quality to BW production. I modified a query in BW development and transported the TR to quality. There was no error. But while transporting the same TR from quality to production there is an error as a query element cannot be imported. The same element was imported successfully to BW quality. I don't understand why it is not getting imported to production now. Please provide any pointers at the earliest.

Hi Sananda,

first add your transport again into queue.to do this copy the transport

click on extras -->other requests -- add

give the transport name >target client>check Import again box

While importing the transport select the below options in options tab

Import transport req again

Overwrite originals

Overwrite objects in unconfirmed repairs

ignore predecessor relations

and then execute.It should get successful

Can you check the Log ...what is the error it says?

Also check whether you have proper connection ?

Also check whether you used proper client SOURCE when importing to TARGET System especially when you created the infopak and DTP?

Hi,

The error message is like original element in production cannot be replaced. I did not create any infopak and dtp, only the query was modified. The error is with a query element which cannot be imported. Can you tell me the possible reasons why the element cannot be replaced in production.

hi,

Again reimport the TR manually and when the import pop comes, in the option tab check the below mentioned check box:

Import transport request again

Overwrite originals

Overwrite objects in unconfirmed repairs

Ignore predecessor relation

Generally only the bold options are marked while importing a TR, don't know what default settings have you selected to import a TR in production.
