Hi all,

I am unable to get the new photo in ESS.

To change the photo, I went to 'Change own data' and edited the pic. But after refresh, Its the old photo that still appears.

Can you please help me in identifying the error.

Thanks,

Check if Content Repository is maintained correctly....

Menu Path: SPRO -> SAP NetWeaver -> Application Server -> Basis Services -> Acrchive Link -> Basic Customizing -> Define Content Repositories (OAC0)

After this .....

In Transaction code OAC3, check which content repository (Archive) is linked to the document type HRICOLFOTO and object type PREL.

Then check......

In SM30, goto view V_T585O and link the Document type HRICOLFOTO to the object type PREL and the infotyoe 0002.

Hi Saurabh,

Thanks for the reply. I have checked in R/3 the steps you mentioned. The content repository is maintained and linked to IT0002.

This problem is happening only for few of the employees. Please let me know if there can be any other possibilities.

Thanks,

this might happen, especially if the photo is not uploaded via ESS.

This problem is solved with note 1522376.

intended design is to have employees to update their photo through the

Employee Self Service scenario 'Change Own Data'.

In general the ESS - Change Own Data- Photo upload functionality

is given for the employee to upload the photo. If employee is uploading

the photo from ESS then there won't be inconsistency. It will always

display the valid photo in both PA20/30 or in Portal,

no you can update in R/3 too, but there was an issue if you update from r/3 and ess, no latest photo was shown which is fixed with above note
